Volleyball Recap: Mascoutah's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday + How To Watch

Mascoutah and Mater Dei squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mascoutah had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Mascoutah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Price, who had three digs and three aces, and Bailey Seibert, who had 11 digs and one assist. Price has been hot recently, having also posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Leading Mater Dei to victory were Ava Lampe and Lauren Jamruk. Lampe had 17 digs and four assists, while Jamruk had ten digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Jamruk a new career-high.
