Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Takes a Loss

Franklin Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions, falling 3-0.

Franklin Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-16.

Ian Alvarez paced Franklin Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Alvarez got some help from Alexander Noda and his nine assists. Finally, Luis Albert kept Franklin Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chaminade-Madonna, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Franklin Academy will challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will face off against Fort Lauderdale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
