Basketball Game Preview: Southside Tigers vs. Westside Rams

The Southside Tigers will head out to take on the Westside Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Southside came up short against Fountain Inn and fell 61-52. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Fury are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, Westside earned a 61-48 victory over South Florence on Monday.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Southside, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Southside, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Westside in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Southside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
