Football Recap: Stratford Red Devils vs. Notre Dame Prep Lancers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bethel, Stratford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Notre Dame Prep Lancers onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Stratford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.
Stratford's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8. As for Notre Dame Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Stratford is taking a road trip to square off against Bunnell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bunnell is coming into the matchup with five straight victories at home, so Stratford will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. After both having extra time off, Notre Dame Prep and Pomperaug will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:30 p.m. on November 26th.
