Baseball Game Preview: Susquehanna Sabers vs. Mountain View Eagles

Susquehanna is 2-8 against Mountain View since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Susquehanna will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Susquehanna is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 6-1 to Northwest Area on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeland.

Jordan Jagger was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Jagger wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Josh Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Another was Ziggy Bradford, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Susquehanna suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Mountain View in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Susquehanna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
