Basketball Recap: Casteel Falls Short Against Ranked Perry

On Tuesday, Casteel faced Perry in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Casteel Colts were dealt a 71-44 loss at the hands of the Perry Pumas. The Colts were probably out for revenge after losing 73-39 to them when the teams met back in November of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Casteel's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Perry, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Casteel will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Basha at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Perry, they will face off against Columbus on Monday.
