Basketball Game Preview: University City Centurions vs. Bishop's Knights

The University City Centurions will take on the Bishop's Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

University City's tournament run continued when they took on Mount Miguel on Monday. The Centurions fell 42-36 to the Matadors. The defeat continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Matadors: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop's). They blew past O'Farrell Charter, posting a 79-50 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop's and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for University City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

University City strolled past Bishop's in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 66-49. Do the Centurions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
