Soccer Game Preview: Safford vs. Benjamin Franklin

The Safford Bulldogs will face off against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Safford comes in on six and Benjamin Franklin on 14.

Safford's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Florence 4-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin made easy work of Page on Wednesday and carried off an 8-0 victory. The Chargers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last eight contests.

Benjamin Franklin pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 81 goals over those nine matches. As for Safford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Safford came up short against Benjamin Franklin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Safford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
