Recap: Snowflake Lobos vs. Winslow Bulldogs
The Snowflake Lobos had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 55-23 victory over Winslow. Snowflake might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.
Snowflake was led to victory by Nicole Hipps and Ryah Denhalter. Hipps scored 13 points along with three steals, while Denhalter scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Haddli Nichols, who scored four points along with four steals.
Snowflake's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.08 points. As for Winslow, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Snowflake won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tuba City at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Tuba City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Snowflake is ranked 15th). Winslow will finish 2023 at home by hosting Godinez Fundamental at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th.
