Norwell had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Eastbrook Panthers by a score of 6-2. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Kayla Watkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Kurtz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Wagner, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eastbrook fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Norwell will square off against Angola at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastbrook, they will challenge Lakeland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
