Football Game Recap: Millennium vs. Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP

Millennium were able to grind out a solid victory over Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP on Friday, winning 28-16.

Millennium got off to a sluggish start, posting zero total points in the first half. Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Millennium put that tie to bed by coming up with 28 points in the second half to win the game.

Senior Isaiah Woods, who rushed for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Millennium's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore Anthony Gonzalez, who racked up 11 tackles.

Millennium's win brought them up to 4-5. The loss dropped Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP's record to 3-5.

The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Millennium will square off against Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 PM next week. As for Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP, they will face off against Big Valley Christian. Big Valley Christian are cruising in on a six-game winning streak.
