Volleyball Game Preview: Lena-Winslow Panthers vs. Durand Bulldogs

The Lena-Winslow Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Durand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lena-Winslow comes in on five and Durand on nine.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lena-Winslow challenged Forreston on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals.

Lena-Winslow not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Forreston between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Lena-Winslow found their leader in sophomore Kieryn Getz, who had three digs and three aces. Landrie Spidahl also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Durand was able to grind out a solid victory over Eastland on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Lena-Winslow's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Durand, their victory bumped their record up to 23-6.

Lena-Winslow couldn't quite get it done against Durand when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
