Soccer Recap: Barbers Hill Comes Up Short

Barbers Hill lost against Port Neches-Groves back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Barbers Hill Eagles fell just short of the Port Neches-Groves Indians by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Indians are ranked 174th).

Barbers Hill's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1-2 and their overall record down to 6-4-3. As for Port Neches-Groves, their record is now 12-1-4.

Barbers Hill wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Nederland on the 11th. As for Port Neches-Groves, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Beaumont United on the 11th.
