Softball Game Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Rossford Bulldogs

The Columbian Tornadoes will head out to square off against the Rossford Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Columbian easily dispatched Willard on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tornadoes fell just short of Hopewell-Loudon by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tornadoes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Columbian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Haman, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Rossford can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past Fostoria 23-1. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Columbian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9. As for Rossford, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Columbian might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Rossford in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
