Softball Recap: Walton Gets the Win

Walton took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Columbus, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Sharks 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Sharks back in April, they had to take a 13-4 loss.

The victory made it two in a row for Walton and bumps their season record up to 13-2. As for Columbus, they moved to 11-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Walton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-5 loss against School of the Future on the 21st. Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
