Baseball Recap: Galena Takes a Loss

Galena blew Reed out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Reed got their revenge. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 8-6. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 12-4.

Galena's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Reed, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.

Looking ahead, Galena will challenge McQueen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Lancers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Reed, they will head out to square off against Bishop Manogue at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
