Softball Recap: El Dorado Aztecs vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

El Dorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Pebble Hills Spartans by a score of 5-4. El Dorado was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pebble Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Mia Davis was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Davis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a stolen base, and two RBI.

Davis wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackie Schmidt, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

On Pebble Hills' side, Lily Bravo spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

Pebble Hills is on a three-game streak of home losses, Coronado a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
