Volleyball Recap: Ascend Leadership Takes a Loss

Ascend Leadership was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Fayetteville Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aviators of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Ascend Leadership ultimately came up short, they really made Fayetteville Academy work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 27-25, 22-25, 25-18.

Ascend Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fayetteville Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Ascend Leadership will take on Village Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Aviators surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fayetteville Academy, they will face off against Freedom Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
