Soccer Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Northwest Rankin

On Tuesday, Brandon faced Northwest Rankin in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Brandon Bulldogs lost 4-0 to the Northwest Rankin Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 two weeks ago.

Brandon's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7-2. As for Northwest Rankin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2-1 record this season.

Brandon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest Rankin, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Northwest Rankin face off against the Petal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
