Recap: Sneads Pirates vs. Blountstown Tigers
The Sneads Pirates waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 56-44 win over Blountstown. Given Sneads' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Blountstown is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nykavian Bradley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. He hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Kurdiss Baker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Blountstown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aidan Richards. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with four steals. Richards' trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Washington, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Sneads has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Blountstown, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10.
Sneads and Liberty County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Blountstown, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bozeman at 6:45 p.m. Bozeman is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
