Basketball Recap: Benavides Comes Up Short

Benavides was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 41-31 to the Bruni Badgers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-25 back in January.

Benavides' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Bruni, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benavides has already played their next game (against Pawnee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bruni will welcome McMullen County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. McMullen County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bruni surely won't give up without a fight.
