Football Recap: Gulliver Prep's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Gulliver Prep waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 26-14 win over the Belen Jesuit Wolverines. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Brendan Beery threw for 169 yards on only 13 passes. Champ Smith was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Darriel Cannon rushed for 51 yards and one score.

Gulliver Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Belen Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Gulliver Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Andrew's at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Scots have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for Belen Jesuit, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Killian at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
