Baseball Game Preview: Wareham Vikings vs. Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs

The Wareham Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Old Rochester Regional took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wareham, who comes in off a win.

Wareham not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 21, 2024 (when they won 18-1). They put the hurt on Holbrook with a sharp 17-2 win. The Vikings have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Old Rochester Regional didn't have quite enough to beat Somerset Berkley Regional on Wednesday and fell 7-6. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Old Rochester Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Wareham, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Wareham suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Old Rochester Regional when the teams last played on April 4th. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
