Softball Recap: Coventry Comes Up Short

Coventry entered their match against Field on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Comets lost 15-5 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

Coventry's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Coventry and Field will both be playing Springfield the next time they take the field. The Falcons will host the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Comets will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
