Basketball Recap: Samiah Baker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Grandview

Toppenish had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 50-37 victory over the Grandview Greyhounds on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Greyhounds back in January, they had to take a 62-57 loss.

Toppenish's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samiah Baker, who posted 12 points. Tatiana Camacho was another key player, putting up six points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Toppenish now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Toppenish will challenge Quincy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grandview, they will face off against Prosser at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th.
