Football Game Preview: Audubon Green Wave vs. Gloucester Catholic Rams

The Audubon Green Wave will head out on the road to take on the Gloucester Catholic Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Audubon and seven for Gloucester Catholic dating back to last season.

Audubon is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against West Deptford on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Green Wave were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 29-0. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Eagles are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Gloucester Catholic's offense. They were dealt a 55-0 loss at the hands of Sterling on Friday.

Audubon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gloucester Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Audubon against Gloucester Catholic when the teams last played back in November of 2020, as the squad secured a 49-19 win. Will the Green Wave repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
