Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Corvallis Spartans.

Clay Rhoades made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Letsom, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Corvallis, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Springfield has already played their next matchup, a 16-3 defeat against Dallas on the 4th. As for Corvallis, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Sheldon on the 3rd.
