Basketball Game Preview: Schaumburg Christian Conquerors vs. Harvest Christian Academy Lions

The Schaumburg Christian Conquerors will head out to square off against the Harvest Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Schaumburg Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Schaumburg Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Cristo Rey St. Martin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Giada Falco, who posted 20 points and six steals. Falco is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Stephanie Tenuto was another key player, putting up four points in addition to ten boards and six assists.

Even though they lost, Schaumburg Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Harvest Christian Academy was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Alden-Hebron 60-28. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Harvest Christian Academy has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Schaumburg Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Schaumburg Christian ended up a good deal behind Harvest Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 59-42. Can Schaumburg Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
