Soccer Game Preview: Hudson vs. Madisonville

The Hudson Hornets will take on the Madisonville Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hudson managed to keep up with Palestine until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Hudson came up short against Palestine, falling 6-2. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Wildcats are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, everything went Madisonville's way against Crockett on Friday as Madisonville made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Madisonville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five games. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
