Football Recap: Newark Academy Takes a Loss

Newark Academy fell victim to Horace Mann and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a blow against the Lions, falling 27-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Newark Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Horace Mann, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morristown-Beard at 2:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Horace Mann, they will welcome The Pingry School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
