Soccer Recap: Smithville Comes Up Short

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the C.H. Yoe Yoemen. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yoemen earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for C.H. Yoe, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithville will square off against Salado at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Salado will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Smithville surely won't give up without a fight. As for C.H. Yoe, they will challenge Giddings at 7:45 p.m. on March 4th.
