Bedford came out on top against Bellwood-Antis on Friday thanks in part to Gaston Watkins's efforts. Watkins produced his best game of the campaign: he tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Watkins and Bedford will look to defend their home field on Monday against Central Cambria at 4:30 p.m. The Bisons are 9-1 against the Red Devils going back to April of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
