Volleyball Preview: Boyden-Hull Comets vs. Unity Christian Knights
Boyden-Hull and Unity Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Boyden-Hull Comets will square off against the Unity Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyden-Hull will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, everything went Boyden-Hull's way against Okoboji as Boyden-Hull made off with a 3-0 win. The match marked the Comets' most dominant victory of the season.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Unity Christian sidestepped Central Lyon for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Unity Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Central Lyon into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-9.
Callie Karhoff had an outrageously good game as she had 26 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.
Unity Christian kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now had at least six blocks in three consecutive contests.
