Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Horizon's Winning Streak

Horizon and Sunrise Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Horizon had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Huskies haven't been shut out since back in October.

Nia Tinsley paced Horizon's offense, picking up nine kills. Tinsley got some help from Brooklynn McNulty and her 22 assists.

Sunrise Mountain can attribute much of their success to Aubree Manning, who had 12 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Manning has posted since back in September.

With the defeat, Horizon broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-11. As for Sunrise Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 24 of their last 25 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-3 record this season.

Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunrise Mountain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Chaparral on the 15th.
