Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt lost against Brandeis back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Roosevelt were beaten by the Brandeis Bulldogs 70-40. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Brandeis is ranked 60th).

Roosevelt's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Brandeis, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-34 loss against Manhattan Center for Science & Math on the 31st. As for Brandeis, they will head out to take on Randolph Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Randolph Campus: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Brandeis has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
