Georgia Military College's win ends eight-game losing streak at home

The Georgia Military College Bulldogs's 13-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Twiggs County by a score of 37-28. Georgia Military College's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Georgia Military College had a senior duo take command as Corrinne Rudolph scored ten points along with five assists and two steals and Nickole Rudolph scored four points along with eight blocks and two steals. Rudolph is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Harmoni Watkins was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds and four steals.

Twiggs County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaida Pearson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. That was a full 50% of Twiggs County's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kiara Kenney, who scored no points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Twiggs County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Georgia Military College's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-12. As for Twiggs County, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia Military College will take on Hancock Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hancock Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Twiggs County, they will be playing at home against Glascock County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
