Recap: Holyoke Purple Knights vs. Central Golden Eagles
The Holyoke Purple Knights lost against the Central Golden Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Holyoke was outmatched by Central on the road and fell 75-34. Holyoke was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.
It was another big night for Jai-lyn Garvin-martin, who shot 8-for-13 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten steals for Central. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garvin-martin has scored all season. Angela Hector was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Holyoke bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Central, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Holyoke will head out on the road to square off against Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
