It was a good run, but South Warren unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bowling Green Purples by a score of 5-4. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Purples earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Brandon Perkins Jr. made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Camden Page, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

South Warren's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Bowling Green, their record is now 11-7.

South Warren and Bowling Green should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Spartans (ranked sixth) will meet Logan County (ranked 45th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bowling Green will take on Franklin-Simpson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (17 vs. 71).
