Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Falls Short of Clovis West in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Francis couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clovis West Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The Troubadours were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

While St. Francis ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.

Hailey Sutton paced St. Francis' offense, picking up 17 kills. Sutton got some help from Katie Kramer and her 19 assists.

St. Francis' loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 35-9. As for Clovis West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-13 record this season.

St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis West, they will take on Cypress at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Centurions have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
