Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Nicole Gibson and Jolee Harshman Lead Sierra to Victory

Sierra won the last time they faced Woodlake and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Chieftains were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.

While Sierra won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 26-24, 25-13.

Leading Sierra to victory were Jolee Harshman and Nicole Gibson. Harshman had 22 digs and two aces, while Gibson had five aces and three digs. Harshman is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: Sierra was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Sierra now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodlake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Sierra will face off against El Diamante at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodlake, they will square off against Pioneer Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
