Softball Recap: Yucca Valley Comes Up Short

Yucca Valley lost against Indio on April 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-5 to the Rajahs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leila Schwab was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabbi Roses, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Yucca Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Indio, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Yucca Valley has already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against Coachella Valley on the 1st. As for Indio, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Aquinas on the 29th.
