Warren Township gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Maine West Warriors. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly four runs.

Warren Township is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Maine West, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Warren Township will challenge Waukegan at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Maine West, they will square off against Niles West at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
