Baseball Recap: Greenhill Takes a Loss

Greenhill extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-8-1. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

For St. Stephen's Episcopal's part, the team relied heavily on Thomas Connor, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Gus Civins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Greenhill will take on rival St. Mark's at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Stephen's Episcopal is set to challenge their familiar foe Episcopal School of Dallas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
