Preview: Mantachie vs. Belmont
On Friday Mantachie take on Belmont at 7:00 PM. Mantachie are limping into the contest on a seven-game losing streak.
It was close but no cigar for Mantachie as they fell 14-16 to Alcorn Central last Friday. Mantachie's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Matt Johnson, who caught passes for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Belmont lost to North Pontotoc, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-49. Belmont were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
