Winthrop College Prep Academy got themselves on the board against Riverview Academy of Math and Science on Wednesday, but Riverview Academy of Math and Science never followed suit. They breezed past the Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas to the tune of 41-0. With that win, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 27.8 points per game.

Winthrop College Prep Academy found their leader in freshman Maya Degreenia, who rushed for 37 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 66 yards and one touchdown.

Winthrop College Prep Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Degreenia led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Winthrop College Prep Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.8 points over those games. As for Riverview Academy of Math and Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winthrop College Prep Academy will challenge Bell Creek Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverview Academy of Math and Science, they will face off against Foundation Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th.
