Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Service). They put the hurt on the South Anchorage Wolverines with a sharp  17-9 victory on Wednesday. The Cougars'  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Weston Gracey was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  hits (two).
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Rilen Niclai, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Kegan Lennox, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Service  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Anchorage only posted  an  OBP of  .269.
Service pushed their record up to 10-0 with the  victory, which was their 14th straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for South Anchorage, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 13-1.
 Looking ahead, Service will challenge Bartlett at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Golden Bears at the right time seeing as the Golden Bears are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for South Anchorage, they will take on Dimond at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The  contest will  give the Wolverines their first taste of in-conference action this season.
