Softball Recap: Kennedy Triumphs

Kennedy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 19-14 victory over the Perrydale Pirates. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Grace Traeger was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jocelyn Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Traeger wasn't the only one making solid contact: Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The Trojans are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kennedy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Perrydale, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy will challenge rival St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Perrydale is set to square off against their familiar foe Country Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
