It was a proper cat-fight when Pembroke Pines Charter faced off against Coconut Creek on Monday. Everything went Pembroke Pines Charter's way against Coconut Creek as Pembroke Pines Charter made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pembroke Pines Charter was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cypress Bay faced Varela in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Cypress Bay fell 3-1 to Varela.

While Cypress Bay had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-27, 25-22, 25-18.

Cypress Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Pembroke Pines Charter suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Cypress Bay in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can Pembroke Pines Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
