Penn (Ind.) senior Matt Kominkiewicz stopped time and many defenders during a return on Friday night.

Determined senior goes the distance in a tough 14-7 win over rival from Michigan.

Some plays are so special that time appears to almost stand still.

That was exactly what made the 70-yard punt return by Penn (Mishawaka, Ind.) senior Matt Kominkiewicz in Friday's 14-7 home win over Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich) so remarkable.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pounder appeared to be tackled after just a six-yard return and that's when time — and defenders stopped — before the determined running back and receivers defied all logic with one of the best punt returns of the season.

It led the Kingsmen to their third straight victory without a defeat

Kominkiewicz is also a pretty fair baseball player after hitting .295 last spring with 28 runs and nine steals for Penn's 28-4 squad. He plays second base and outfielder.
