Basketball Recap: East St. Louis Flyers vs. Alton Redbirds
After flying high against McCluer last Thursday, East St. Louis came back down to earth. The East St. Louis Flyers took a 69-50 bruising from the Alton Redbirds on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-49 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why East St. Louis lost, don't look at Alex Johnson. Despite the final result, he went 11 for 20 on his way to 23 points along with seven boards and five steals.
